Asia's Best Beach

Radhanagar Beach — Beach No. 7

Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep)
6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

About This Place

Radhanagar Beach — also known as Beach No. 7 — is consistently rated among the top beaches in Asia. Located on the western coast of Havelock Island, it stretches for nearly 2 kilometres of pristine white sand backed by dense tropical forest, with turquoise water that deepens gradually and safely for swimming.

What Makes It Special

The combination of elements here is rare: the sand is genuinely fine and white, the water colour transitions from pale turquoise to deep blue, the forest behind the beach is intact and provides natural shade, and the sunsets are extraordinary — the sun drops behind a distant treeline and turns the entire sky orange, pink, and purple.

Visitor Information

The beach is open from 6 AM to 6 PM. There are basic changing rooms and a small food stall at the entrance. Entry is free. The best time to visit is between 4 PM and 6 PM for the sunset. Mornings are quieter and better for swimming.

Getting There

Approximately 12 km from Havelock Jetty. Auto-rickshaws and scooter rentals are the most popular ways to reach it. Most resorts also run shuttle services.
