About This Experience

Sea Walking at North Bay Island is the perfect underwater experience for those who cannot swim or prefer not to dive. You walk on the seabed at 3–5 metres depth wearing a specially designed helmet that continuously pumps fresh air — no training required, no face submersion, just a magical stroll among coral and fish.

What to Expect

North Bay’s shallow reefs are home to an extraordinary variety of marine life — parrotfish, surgeonfish, clownfish, and often sea turtles. The helmet keeps your head completely dry and the 360-degree acrylic visor gives an unobstructed panoramic view. Feed the fish, pose for photos, and take in a world most people never see.

Duration

The underwater walk itself lasts 20–25 minutes. With the boat transfer from Port Blair, the full activity runs approximately 2–3 hours.

Who Can Do It

Anyone from age 8 to 65. Non-swimmers are welcome. Those with ear or heart conditions should consult a doctor before participating.
