About This Experience

Shore Scuba Diving at Havelock Island is the most popular first-dive experience in the Andamans. You enter the water directly from the beach, descend with a certified PADI instructor, and explore the coral reefs of Havelock in a relaxed, controlled environment — no previous experience needed.

What to Expect

The session begins with a 30–45 minute briefing covering hand signals, equalisation, and safety procedures. You are then fitted with BCD, regulator, fins, and weight belt. The shore entry is gradual and comfortable even for first-timers.

Once underwater, you will explore reef formations teeming with clownfish, parrotfish, angelfish, moray eels, and if you are lucky — reef sharks and sea turtles. Visibility is typically 10–20 metres in season.

Duration & Depth

The dive lasts approximately 40–45 minutes. Maximum depth for beginners is 6–9 metres, supervised throughout by your instructor.

Certification

This is a discover-scuba experience — no certification required. If you want to dive independently afterward, a PADI Open Water course (3 days) is available.
